Find in Page on Chrome for different terms on different pages

Is there a way to get Chrome to find different terms in different windows using the 'Find in Page' mechanic?

At the moment it looks like Chrome has a unified 'Find in Page' behaviour, i.e. changing the search term from 'x' to 'y' on window 1 also changes the searched term on window 2.

The use case I have is that I'm searching code on GitHub for a certain text string in one window, finding some associated text on that page and then wanting to search a second page in a second window for that associated text. So as it stands, as soon as I change the search string in the second window to search for that text, it also changes it in the first window...

The behaviour in Firefox is as expected (the find facility is page dependent), but I was using Chrome, and this behaviour surprised me...
