Marvell 88SE9230 not prompting bios

I bought a Marvell 88SE9230 and I connected it to the PCIe x16 port of my desktop ACER Aspire TC-605. In Debian, lspci detects the card and the disk utility shows both hard drives connected to the Marvell RAID controller.
However, I cannot prompt the Marvell card BIOS since, pressing [CTRL + M] during boot up, does not prompt the BIOS menu of the Marvell card.
I disabled the SATA controller in my BIOS, but the Marvell card BIOS menu does not show up either.
Any ideas?
