Networking: Reject forwarding to specific network in OpenWrt
I'm in a situation where I need to restrict my OpenWrt router access to a specific WWAN network. However, due to other unsolvable issues, the interface is recognized as a wired interface, so it doesn't know the SSID, only the IP assigned.
In short, it's equivalent to having a wired WAN interface configured as DHCP client, and I want to limit the WAN connectivity (to Internet, not just the local network) based on the network OpenWrt is connected to.
I'm thinking of building a firewall rule somewhat like this (where 100.64.0.0/16 is the DHCP range of the network I want to limit access to):
IF (WAN.IP in 100.64.0.0/16) REJECT LAN=>WAN
ELSE FORWARD LAN=>WAN
or this
IF (WAN.GATEWAY in 100.64.0.0/16) REJECT LAN=>WAN
ELSE FORWARD LAN=>WAN
However, I'm not sure how or if I can do this in OpenWrt. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
