How is a spectra function related to the mean value and standard deviation?
$begingroup$
everyone. I'm starting to research stochastic optimization algorithms, and my simulation model is an aircraft which endures turbulence. I've read a document on the atmosphere environment provided by Matlab, which says ' turbulence is a stochastic process defined by velocity spectra', and a Wikipedia article which assumes the turbulence to be a Gaussian process, but how is a spectra function related to the mean value and standard deviation. Could anybody recommend some references? Thanks a lot.
