Job offer accepted - start date is being delayed

0

I just finished a job and managed to secure an another one through the agency.
It was very usual process with series of interviews, later email with an offer and my final job acceptance. Communication I exchanged is mostly on email (company's name, position, salary etc.).

What I am concerned about is my start date. It is likely to be delayed by 1 week from the original date. Also, I awaiting a copy of proper contract for me to sign.

Technically speaking all of the above is legally binding and I shall have no concerns on the subject. Am I missing something please? This job is my relocation from UK to IE.

Quick answer... you can chill. It's all good. This is normal. It's maybe not best, but this is normal. Sure, it's possible that it will somehow weirdly fall through. That's always possible until you actually show up to work and start working. This, however, is not a particularly high-risk indicator.

On the flip side, you shouldn't actually start relocating until you get that contract.
