Dos Xcopy - Empty parent directory in Root will not copy to another empty directory in root
What I am trying to do is copy an empty directory located in the root of a drive to another empty directory located in the root of the same drive as the source.
Eg. xcopy C:example2 C:example /E /S /T /I
The operation ends with zero files copied and no new directory "example2" listed in the target directory. What am I doing wrong? Can this even be done on the command line through xcopy in DOS?
I am assuming at this point that the target directory must be manually created before the xcopy operation is called.
windows cmd.exe ms-dos xcopy

The options/sand/tare normally mutually exclusive:/smeans copy directories and files, while/tmeans create the directory structure without copying files. Try again with/eand the copy option you want. Also, try putting/eafter the copy option.

The options
/s and /t are normally mutually exclusive: /s means copy directories and files, while /t means create the directory structure without copying files. Try again with /e and the copy option you want. Also, try putting /e after the copy option.– AFH
