Android studio - emulator runs but app does not run or show up there

0

I have made a few projects in the android studio, and since yesterday all new projects I have made, could not run. I don't know why emulator runs well but I can't find my app anywhere.

and it says: " waiting for the target device".
There are no errors or anything.

AndroidManifest.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
package="com.lux.escanor.myapplication">
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission>
<application
android:allowBackup="true"
android:icon="@mipmap/ic_launcher"
android:label="@string/app_name"
android:roundIcon="@mipmap/ic_launcher_round"
android:supportsRtl="true"
android:theme="@style/AppTheme">
<activity android:name=".MainActivity">
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />

<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
</activity>
</application>

</manifest>

The blank app without any code doesn't run, so what could be the problem? I didn't change anything in settings so I don't know what could it be.

build.gradle

apply plugin: 'com.android.application'

android {
compileSdkVersion 28
defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.lux.escanor.myapplication"
minSdkVersion 14
targetSdkVersion 28
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
testInstrumentationRunner "android.support.test.runner.AndroidJUnitRunner"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'), 'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}

dependencies {
implementation fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
implementation 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:28.0.0'
implementation 'com.android.support.constraint:constraint-layout:1.1.3'
