How to avoid iFrame refreshing in TurboLinks?

0

Just to avoid XY problem: I want to set an iFrame and, when using Turbolinks, make it permanent and keep playing the Youtube video in it seamlessly.

I was guessing rewriting some of Turbolinks so:

-If there is an iframe 'son' of body, and only in this case, do not touch it and change the rest of the page (mandatorily contained in a div). The DOM would look like this:

This is already an issue in the Turbolinks Git and I wondered if I could try to solve it, BUT:

The turbolinks isn't all CoffeeScript code. I did coffee -j ... -c ... and used it as the turbolinks original .js file and it didn't work at all. Also in their repository (linked above) there are files that are not .js.

Another option could be MoOx's pjax, but this may be material for another question. Thanks just for reading this.
