Block unindent on mcedit

Block indent in mcedit is simple: select the lines to be indented and press Tab. But how can I block unindent? (In gedit, for example, the key is Shift+Tab)

I found this ticket which states

  1. BackSpace? will unindent the block

I don't understand why after BackSpace comes an interrogation mark. If I try BackSpace on the selection, however, it simply gets deleted.

Try Alt + I. That's all mcedit can do. No other options are available.

            Doesn't work. Alt+i also isn't in mc.keymap for unindent.
