Black screen after upgrading from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04
I have recently upgraded my Dell laptop from Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04. The upgrade procedure seemed successful, but the restart after the upgrade was not successful as it was showing a black screen, and now I am getting the messages shown in the screenshot while booting.
How to rectify it, or else how to revert back to Ubuntu 16.04?
ubuntu boot upgrade ubuntu-18.04

There is literally no error message in the picture.

As above, literally no error but it stopped there because probably it couldn't load the GUI session, the X server... Do you have Nvidia graphics? If so you'll need to reinstall the drivers.
