iTerm command-click non-standard URL

I use a Chrome extension that allows me to input non-standard URL's, and I want iTerm to understand that when I command-click a string of text that matches a regular expression (I will write the regex), that it should execute the same command it does for standard URL's. This is the workflow I would like:

  1. I give iTerm a RegEx so that it can match non-standard URL's like "P12345678"

  2. "P12345678" shows up in iTerm output

  3. command-click on "P12345678"

  4. Browser opens and navigates to "P12345678". The rerouting of this non-standard URL to a real URL is taken care of by my Chrome extension.

Thank you!
