Deleted the windows user directory for a user on non local domain

0

I had two users on my windows 10 pc marked as User1 and User1.Domain2 . I would rdp into this windows machine and I didn't like the fact that it took me to C:usersUser1.Domain2, so I deleted that directory, thinking that since I had already deleted the local User1 account from the system, the User1 for domain 2 would just switch home directories to the already existing C:usersUser1.

This was most certainly not the case, I blame my extremely poor use of judgment here on lack of sleep and lack of Windows knowledge, and now whenever I try and login using Domain2 I receive the error, "We can't sign in to your account. This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in. If you don't sign out now, any files you create or changes you make will be lost." So, I am receiving a temporary user account which is what I don't want.

The local user account has since been deleted but I still encounter this error every time I try to log in. I have also removed the User1 home directory at this point. Is there any way to resolve this?
