Getting rid of the diagnostic boot
I am currently using Dell Latitude E4300 and the issue is that the power button board is not working due to which my computer always boots in the diagnostic mode. I've checked that under System Configuration Normal Startup is selected. (https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General-Read-Onl...) and also my hard drive is selected to be the first preference in BIOS. Also, I've checked that the active drive is the system reserved one.
What could be the reason that it enters diagnostic boot every time? Is it because of the power button board only, if so, can I just start it normally without getting the power button board repaired?
