Can I add Restricted Editing by group, instead of individual users?

0

I am using Microsoft Word 2016 on Windows 8.1. My issue pertains to Restricted Editing in Word but I guess it applies to the Edit Ranges in Excel too.

I have several documents with restricted editing in place so that only members of my team can edit. If someone joins the team, I would have to add this person manually to the all the documents. Is it possible to (have the company IT department) create a group of users, and give restricted editing permissions to this group?
