How do I find out what file is being called on localhost

0

So, I inherited a pretty big project, that seems to be created as a part of a nightmare. Anyway, I managed to get most of it working on localhost even tho there is no documentation or any version control software and no contact from previous developer. But now I am stuck, I am trying to open a subpage, that is written in native PHP, but I can not for the life of me figure out, which exact file is being called, and before I start inserting die(file); everywhere I would just like to know if I can do something easier? When I go to the subpage in question I just get html resp 500 back with no response.
