Lenovo G780 backlit screen, no display
When I turn on my laptop I can't see the log in screen yet my screen is backlit. When I plug in an external monitor I can see my desktop.
Is it my screen cable?
Can I fix it myself?

When you plug it in and can see your desktop is it visible on the monitor and laptop or just monitor? It is not clear in your question
