What are some nontrivial things one could do with GAP? [closed]

I'm learning algebra at the undergraduate level and came across the group theory software called GAP. Despite some googling I'm not sure what things one could do with such software that would really add to my understanding at my current level. I would appreciate pointers to study material or examples.

Maybe some of the examples: gap-system.org/Gap3/Doc3/Examples3/examples.html, gap-system.org/Doc/applications.html, gap-system.org/Doc/Examples/examples.html. Lastly, I'd search the documentation to see what this can do. I recommend learning a CAS because they make your learning experience much greater and varied.

The opportunity to play with examples and study implementations may help with the course - I've elaborated more on this in my answer here. If you are interested in GAP, please also see this answer, and also (possibly incomplete) overview of its capabilities on the GAP website.

P.S. see also gap-system.org/Doc/Teaching/teaching.html for a collection of some teaching materials that use GAP.
