Releasing recorded conversations at work [on hold]

Since Aug 2014 I have been the target of mobbing at work. Over the years I have documented incidents of harassment like snot wiped on an harassment at work document, dead flies put in coffee cup and other crazy stuff.



In June 2018 , I applied for a Lead Technician position which was withdrawn for no apparent reason. The main bully from 2014 who is now the chief technician, took me into a room and told me the position was no longer available BUT.......



He said he spoke to the main engineering manager and HR and explained how I was doing a good job.
Apparently they all agreed that I would be promoted from grade 7 to graexpPTSD April 2019 then to grade 10 in April 2020 if I met certain objectives in my performance review. I have a recording of this which apparently I can,t use to prove this was said.



March 2019 comes around, I,m only one of a handful of employees to get "Exceeds expectations (4 / 5).
Get called into a meeting room and told that " Sorry, no technician got promoted this year".



A week later as all info gets put out onto the shop floor instantly, I find out that another technician with much less experience than me (me - 5yr 2month) (him - 1yr 2month) gets the grade 8 promotion and get this confirmed by himself.



So I raised a grievence and HR suggested an initial hearing with my union rep.



This happened last Thursday and I read out the 2 statements from June 2018 and March 2019 and asked questions about why I didn,t get promoted despite being told I would if I meet certain objectives.



This is now under investigation and I suspect details from that meeting are out.



I need to know some things for my own sanity.




  1. What would be the consequences of releasing the recording. I.e. fine, prison etc.

  2. Is there any loopholes I can exploit? I have developed anxiety disorder and I,m showing signs of PTSD
