Ireport 5.6.0 GUI menus not showing when the window is maximized

I am running Ireport 5.6.0 on Ubuntu 18.04. When i run ireport i get this warning on the terminal

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: You have loaded library /tmp/jna2216756385856208441.tmp which might have disabled stack guard. The VM will try to fix the stack guard now.
It's highly recommended that you fix the library with 'execstack -c ', or link it with '-z noexecstack'.

But that is not the big problem because i still used to get the warning from another version of Ubuntu but still the windows were still ok. The problem is that i now cannot work with a maximized window because the menus flash and disappear, however on a minimized window they are working properly. I have checked for possible solutions but i have not been able to get any.
